Analysis Effect of Information and Communication Technology on Economic Growth in Indonesia

Economic growth is an indicator that shows the countries economic condition. Economic growth itself can be influenced by various factors, one of which is information and communication technology (ICT), such as expanding marketing reach so as to increase consumers and income. In 2020, although internet and cell phone users as one of the ICT instruments has increased, economic growth in Indonesia has actually decreased and economic growth in Indonesia is still sloping. Then, this study aims to determine the effect of ICT on Indonesia's economic growth during the 2015-2022 period. Researchers used panel data regression analysis with the FEM SUR estimation method. The ICT variables used in the study were cell phone, internet, and computer users. The results showed that the ICT variables had a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. So that increasing the use of ICT is important to encourage economic growth.
